We just wrapped up our 6th annual Female Entrepreneur Summit. This event is a passion project for me. As a female entrepreneur I gain great satisfaction from planning and hosting an event for women who are business owners or those currently on the path to becoming an entrepreneur. Our morning program addressed “pivots and pathways,” and our panelists spoke about taking risks, making tough decisions and knowing when to change course.

I’ve been CEO of my own firm for more than 20 years. One thing I have learned is that it is important and necessary to evolve. At the end of our inspirational program I proudly unveiled our new brand identity and company website to our 300+ attendees.

Earlier this year, I made the decision to end the publication of our highly successful magazine, Cleveland Business Connects. For ten years, this magazine told stories of female entrepreneurs and corporate and networking industry professionals. We developed and produced the Connectors Choice Awards, a second project that had evolved out of the success of the magazine that recognized the hard work of event industry professionals.

I decided to end publication of the magazine for many reasons, including the pressures of a changing media landscape. I felt that the time was right for us to renew our focus on providing exceptional graphic design services for our clients in the corporate, sports and service businesses. Our firm will specialize in visual branding, digital creative and a growing area for us—environmental graphic design.

Starting November 1 we officially launched our new brand identity materials in all of our print and online communications and a new website ContempoCleveland.com.

Our new logo is modern and bold. We chose a color palette (green, blue, yellow and grey colors) that signifies brilliance, hope, momentum and strength. Our new URL is a tribute to the city that has been so good to me and my family and the entire Contempo team.

While we’ve made some outward changes, I can tell you one thing that will never change. We remain committed to our mission—to make our customers look good. We’ll also continue to create meaningful opportunities for our clients and friends to connect through events like our Amplify luncheon program series and the Female Entrepreneur Summit.

On behalf of the Contempo team, I thank you for 20+ great years. We’re very excited to see what the future holds.
